Ansell Healthcare Extends Latex-Free Product Offering With Derma Prene® Pl
RED BANK, NJ -- Ansell Healthcare, a global leader in healthcare barrier protective products, is introducing a new addition to their popular Derma Prene®
glove line, the Derma Prene® PI surgical glove.
Safe for use by latex sensitive healthcare professionals and patients, Derma Prene® PI gloves are made from synthetic polyisoprene and are light green in color
for instant latex-free identification. Similar to the Derma Prene® Ultra, which is made from neoprene, Derma Prene® PI surgical gloves are powder-free to help
eliminate powder-related post-operative complications.
The reduced thickness of Derma Prene® gloves provides enhanced tactile sensitivity in the fingertips, while making double gloving easier and more comfortable.
Their smooth finish allows for worry-free instrument and suture handling.
Derma Prene® PI offers the performance characteristics of natural rubber latex gloves without the risk of latex sensitization.
"Ansell's new Derma Prene® PI offers customers an alternative when selecting a latex-free glove," remarked Carol Carrozza, V.P. Marketing Professional & Consumer.
"Since polyisoprene is currently in such short supply, Ansell is proud to be one of a select few companies able to offer a polyisoprene glove to our customers.
Our goal was to make our Derma Prene® line the most comfortable, latex-free gloves on the market and I think we've succeeded."
