Ansell Healthcare, Inc. and Methodist Hospital to Sponsor a Free educational programsal Event "Bioterrorism: A Healthcare Providers Response"
Arcadia, CA -- Ansell Healthcare, Inc. and Methodist Hospital will debut a new educational programs event titled, "Bioterrorism: A Healthcare Providers Response."
The event will be held on March 18, from 7:30 am to 12:00 pm at the Methodist Hospital Vance Auditorium, 300 W. Huntington Drive, Arcadia and includes breakfast,
three speakers, 4.0 contact hours, an additional 4.8 hours of continuing credit available through a self study module, and a Q&A.
The program is geared towards healthcare professionals involved in activities relating to bioterrorism, including educating healthcare personnel, establishing
institutional or departmental policies and procedures, decision-making responsibilities for hand-barrier products, maintaining compliance (i.e. OSHA, ADA and CDC)
or managing employee health and infection control services.
Guest speakers are retired U.S. Air Force Major General George K. Anderson, MD, MPH, who will speak about "Terrorism: Current Perspectives" and Lloyd Duplechan,
Service Area Director, Technical Services, Kaiser Permanente, who will present "Terrorism Readiness: Internal & External Communication." Ansell Healthcare Clinical
Consultant Janie R. Thomas, RN, BSN, MA, will present "Bioterrorism Agents and Barrier Protection".
